Tim Summers lives in Bentonville and currently represents House District 99 in Benton County.
He is the co-chairman of the Legislative Auditing Committee and the vice-chairman of Arkansas Legislative Council – Review. He also serves on Joint Budget, Education, and the Aging, Children and Youth committees.
He is the State Director of Community Development for Decision Point – DaySpring Behavioral Health.
Summers is a member of the Bentonville Kiwanis Club, the Rogers-Lowell Chamber of Commerce, and the Bentonville-Bella Vista Chamber of Commerce. He serves on the Benton County Fair Board, and he is a board member of the Northwest Arkansas Food Bank. Summers has previously served on the Bentonville City Council and the Benton County Quorum Court. He served on the Finance Committees in both capacities.
Summers has served as President of the Bentonville-Bella Vista Chamber of Commerce and is a past President of the Thomas Jefferson Parent Teacher Association (PTA). He has attended the University of Tulsa and the University of Arkansas.
Summers served his country in the Arkansas National Guard. He was honorably discharged with the rank of Sergeant.
Tim and Peggy Summers have been married for 47 years.
They have one daughter—Jill, who is married to Dr. Derik Stanton– and they have two grandchildren, Drake and Jessica. He is a member of the First United Methodist Church of Bentonville where he serves as a lay speaker for the Methodist church.
